NIRVANA





Nirvana was an American grunge band from Aberdeen, Washington, United States integrated by vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in 1987. Since its formation, Nirvana went through a series of frequent changes of drummer until 1990 were definitely drummer Dave Grohl joined. Nirvana is now considered as one of the most important and influential bands of the era moderna.

In the late 80s Nirvana was established as part of the Seattle music scene with her debut album Bleach, released under the independent Seattle label, Sub Pop, in 1989.3 The band finally came to develop a sound that was based in dynamic contrasts, often quiet verses and choruses intense. A year later, the band signed with the label DGC Records and in 1991 released his second album Nevermind. The album's first single Smells Like Teen Spirit, climbed the music charts around the world and started the explosion of what until then was known as a punk and alternative rock in the world music scene, in a move that means the time would refer to as grunge. In addition to Nirvana, other bands of the Seattle music scene as Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden also gained popularity; as a result, alternative rock became a dominant genre on radio and music television during the first half of the decade of the 90.4The band leader, Kurt Cobain himself referred was found in the media as "the voice of a generation" and Nirvana as the "flagship band" of Generation X. 5 Cobain was uncomfortable with the attention He gave them and decided to focus the public attention to the band's music, challenging the audience with their third studio album, in Utero. The album was not successful or expected sales and popularity of Nirvana decreased in the months following the publication of álbum.6 However, much of the audience praised the "dark" inside the band, especially after MTV Unplugged presentation.

 El cantautor y guitarrista estadounidense Kurt Cobain, quien fue líder y compositor principal de la emblemática agrupación Nirvana, es recordado en las redes sociales con una versión a capela del tema "Smell like teen spirit", en el 49 aniversario de su natalicio.

Aunque la pista fue dada a conocer hace 25 años en el álbum "Nevermind", ahora se compartió la grabación con el aislamiento de la parte vocal del resto de pistas instrumentales, este formato se dio a conocer hace seis años en YouTube.

Courtney Love usó las redes sociales para compartir con sus fans un emotivo mensaje a su difunto marido el líder de Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. La actriz y cantante aprovechó estas fechas para postear una fotografía en la que sale sonriendo junto con Cobain y su primogénita Frances Bean cuando aún era una bebé.

El baterista de Nirvana y el muppet muestran sus talentos

GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (01/DEC/2015).- El mítico baterísta de Nirvana, Dave Grohl, se enfrentó en una épica batalla musical a otro de los íconos de la música, Animal, de 'Los Muppets'.

En un video publicado vía Facebook se ve a Grohl y al muppet frente a frente sentados en sus respectivas baterías.

La grabación inicia con el líder de los Foo Fighters diciendo: "He esperado mucho tiempo por esto, Animal" a lo que su contrincante responde: "Veremos quién es el mejor". En ese momento ambos empiezan a mostrar sus mejores movimientos con las baquetas.

Hasta el momento la publicación ha sido compartida por más de cuatro mil personas. Esta escena forma parte de un capítulo de la serie "Los Muppets" que se transmitirá este 1 de diciembre en Estados Unidos.

Banda de rock estadounidense formada hacia 1986 por Kurt Cobain y Krist Novoselic. A pesar de su corta existencia como grupo, y del suicidio de Cobain en 1994, su música cosechó un tremendo éxito en todo el mundo, hasta el punto de que Nirvana fue considerada una de las mejores bandas de rock de la época y la abanderada del movimiento Grunge.

 

 

En 1988 grabaron una maqueta y el sello Sub Pop les ofreció grabar un sencillo. Casi al mismo tiempo que se producían cambios en el asiento del batería; el puesto lo ocupó definitivamente Chad Channing.

 

 

En mayo de 1990, al final de la gira americana, Channing dejó el grupo. Después de estos cambios, Dave Grohl ocuparía finalmente este puesto, tras editar un single, Sliver, en el que todavía tocaba Channing en una cara y en la otra, Dan Peters, de Mudhoney. También marcó su primera colaboración con el productor Butch Vig, otro gurú de la después llamada "movida Grunge", y más conocido últimamente por su nuevo grupo, Garbage.
